We had our meeting with CPI this afternoon, but not before a quick trip to Hooters for Dean's final RTP meal!  Our waitress was simply gorgeous, and you could tell by the way she...well...jiggled, that she was all natural!  Dean naturally couldn't speak any time she was near us.  I got to see Alex also, I haven't seen him in forever and it was good to talk to him again.  I had my usual, wings, it's the only reason I go there!  So, so long Dean, I'm glad I had the pleasure to make your acquaintance and wish you only the best! 

So on to CPI, I had my map all drawn out and was ready to walk in there, do what needed to be done and hit the road.  CPI had other things in mind, namely they weren't going to roll over on my wiring.  They offer the composite cable that I want, but if they run that cable then they feel it necessary to hook all 4 connections up.  I am not down with that...I have the tools and the talant to do it all myself, but because I am not licensed the builder won't let me.  So I'm kind of at their mercy on this one.  If I want to have that wire run to every outlet, they claim it will cost me an additional $265 per outlet which is absolutely ridiculous.  So I'm going to try two things:

1. Call the customer service and demand that if they won't run the cable the way I want it run, then they allow me to provide the cable myself and they run it.  From a business standpoint it makes sense if you think about it.  We've signed our contract and they aren't going to make a penny more regardless of which way things go, but if they hang me out to dry I will make damned sure that no one I know will EVER use CPI (it wouldn't be the first time I've picketted a business), however if they work with me then everyone will be happy and I'll reccommend them until I'm blue in the face. 
2. I try to strike a deal with the installer, perhaps slip him $300 (the cost of the cable) if he just do it my way and make LESS work for him to do as instead of running 3 cables in some places, he only has to run one!

I've already called their customer care center and got the ball rolling on step one, I'm supposed to get a call back from Orlando in the next five minutes so we'll see how that goes.  I don't know why it frustrates me so much, but I just think its ridiculous how much crap I have to put up with these days.
